WALKER GOES 1-1-1 AT ROUND 5 OF AMA ENDUROCROSS

Triumph Factory Racing rider Jonny Walker delivered his most competitive performance of the 2025 AMA EnduroCross season this past weekend at Round 5 in Reno Nevada, sweeping all three motos to take his first overall win since Boise and the first 1-1-1 finish by any rider this year. After weeks of showing race-winning speed but struggling with starts, Walker finally put everything together with fast qualifying, consistency, and a breakthrough performance on his Triumph TF 450-E.

Walker set the tone early by topping Hot Lap Qualifying as the only rider to complete a lap in less than one minute (59.118 seconds). He then carried that speed into Moto 1 with a daring outside pass on Trystan Hart to take the lead. Walker was relentless and opened an approximate 10 second gap between himself and the rest of the field. In Moto 2, he charged through the pack, overtook early leader Nick Thompson, and held off Hart again. Moto 3 was all Walker: he claimed the holeshot and carried his momentum and aggression through the checkered flag with Hart pushing in second position 3 seconds behind Walker.

The win shifts the championship into uncharted territory going into the final round. Hart, who had been a picture of consistency with 15 straight top two finishes, struggled to match Walker’s pace in Reno and went 2-2-3—his toughest round of the year. His points lead shrinks from six to just three points, setting up a winner takes all championship finale in Round 6.

Walker’s post-race comments reflected a rider fully dialed in and poised to go into battle for the Championship at the last round, he “had a smile on his face pretty much every lap,” he loved the track’s flow, and is “super stoked” to carry this momentum into the final round.
